Cub Summer Adventure Day – Hosted by Sandhills
Boys and girls ages 5-10 are invited to attend any (or all!) of our Cub Summer Adventure Days happening throughout central NC from May-August. Our STEM-themed events are sure to get you excited as we learn about and participate in a variety of activities, including performing weird science experiments and building rockets!
The way in which the five day camp is structured, is for the scouts to travel in dens to numerous stations throughout the day. These stations include BB, Archery, Slingshot, (in which they will have the opportunity to earn their shooting sports patch and pin, paper will be sent home for them to awarded at their pack), STEM, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, and Games, along with guest speakers and opening and closing ceremonies, with songs and/or skits each day. The final day is a shorter day that consists of games/stations where campers are able to go from station to station freely with a buddy and we will be having a closing pizza party. Each session throughout the day Monday – Thursday will last approx. 45 minutes and the stations will stick to this year’s theme of Weird Science, also each den is led by volunteer den walkers. The staff guarantees a jam packed fun filled day each day of our camp. Our volunteer staff is looking forward to seeing all the campers this summer as we excitedly finish up the preparation and execution of our camp!
