If you’re eligible for Brotherhood, we offer the trail every Wednesday of camp at 1 p.m., and the trail lasts roughly 45 minutes. The Brotherhood Ceremony is held every Friday evening after the Ordeal Tap-out and lasts about an hour. If you’ll be spending the week with us at Camp Durant, we strongly encourage you to travel down the Brotherhood Trail. Resources to help you on the trail can be found on the Order of the Arrow website.

FAQ

Q: I’m not attending camp at Camp Durant – can I complete the trail at another camp?

A: From the Guide for Officers and Adviser:Brotherhood membership can only be conferred by an Arrowman’s home lodge—the lodge that serves the council in which the Arrowman’s unit is chartered.” This means that the Brotherhood Trail can only be done at Camp Durant.

Q: I’m not attending any summer camp but would like to come and complete the trail at Camp Durant – can I come down and do that?

A: Yes! If you’d like to come down Wednesday and Friday, we’ll certainly allow that. Please note that we can’t provide lodging for the trip, so you’ll be required to leave after the trail and ceremony. If you’d like to do this, let us know by filling out this form.

Q: I’m attending summer camp at Camp Durant – is there any form I need to fill out to complete the Brotherhood Trail?

A: No. If you’ll already be at camp, just show up to the trail with all the needed materials. There will be a Brotherhood meeting earlier in the week, so listen to the announcements to find out when that will be.
