National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

Youth Leadership FTW

The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what a leader must KNOW and what a leader must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The course is given over six days in an outdoor setting with an emphasis on using the skills being learned immediately in current surroundings. If you are a leader in your unit (senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader, crew president or ship boatswain) or are looking to serve in one of these positions, then NYLT is for you!
