Camp Campbell Work Day honoring Chuck Wolfe – 9/23
Please mark your calendars to come to Camp Campbell on Saturday, September 23rd for a special day to remember all the great things Chuck Wolfe did for Occoneechee Council.
Please respond to Jim Crawford if you are planning to attend – [email protected].
Volunteers will gather at the Activity Field between 8:30 and 9:00 am.
Jim Crawford is organizing a special workday in honor of Chuck Wolfe who lost his life to cancer in February 2023. Chuck loved Campbell and it is only fitting that we this in his honor. His wife Cindy and two Eagle Scout sons (John and Chris) will also join us later in the day.
We have several important areas at Campbell that we would like to begin addressing and fixing. These include: power washing Block House, splitting wood with adult supervision using gas powered splitter, helping repair and install new pit toilets, erecting a fire pit in Campsite 18, possibly building some tables and benches, cleaning up campsites, putting in signage for water pumps, and several other needed repairs.
Lunch will be provided – Sandwiches, fruit, chips, and beverages.
A special dinner will be provided by Rocky Quiller – Pig Pickin’ Feast including chicken, sides, desserts, and beverages.
Please email Jim Crawford at [email protected] if you can attend and have a skill that can be utilized during the workday. We need your support for this great day at Camp Campbell to honor Chuck.
